Though it may be over a year old, the LG 3280 for Tracfone is still a great CDMA phone. As a flip phone, the LG 3280 makes itself compact yet still rugged enough for everyday use. The LG 3280 is thin and light which is a big plus for me as I bulky cell phones in my pocket and I am nowhere near cool and important enough to use a cell phone belt clip. This is a great departure from many other popular prepaid cell phones on the market.

The 3280 has a few great features that make it an exceptional value among all Tracfone phones.  Primarily, as a flip phone, it is able to be compact when needed while still be big enough for chubby fingers like mine.  The flip component also protects the screen when not in use to reduce excessive scratches.  The display is decent, easy to read full-color.  Navigation is intuitive and quick and I love the ability to create menu shortcuts.

Because the LG 3280 runs on the CDMA network, it is compatible with service areas from Verizon, AllTel, and US Cellular.

Let me tell you, there are a few Tracfone Phones that I like from LG and Nokia but the Motorola W370 is on the top of the list (at least for now).

It seems to be a not-so-distant cousin to the Motorola Razr though the W370 is a touch thicker and a bit more narrow. What is really cool about it is that - it appears - as though someone actually thought it out to make it more ergonomically correct for one-handed text messaging because of its thickness and its Jay Leno style chin bump. Perhaps this benefit has been noticed by the masses as this has become one of the best selling Tracfone models they offer. On a related note, text messaging charges on this phone are only .3 units per text for receiving and sending versus the standard .5 unit charged on most Tracfone phones.

For a limited time, they are still offering the Motorola W370 With Unlimited Double Minutes For Life for under $20. Its a great deal considering the Double Minutes card can be purchased separately for $50 by itself. Thanks to its single-rate feature, you pay only one unit per minute on all calls made in the United States as well as International call in 60 different countries.

Since this prepaid Tracfone lacks a camera and a double display (i.e. power vampires), battery life on the W370 is quite good. In my experience, it can last about a week in between charges although, on paper, it says it can last up to 18 days. Of course there are many factors that affect battery life.
